Vacuum Gutter Cleaners
Vacuum gutter cleaners are considered popular solutions for the DIY gutter cleaner. They generally consist of a powerful vacuum with a curved hose attachment that you can theoretically use to reach into gutters from the ground in order to clean them out.
We don’t recommend this method for two simple reasons:
1) Vacuums don’t work to clear out clogs in the downspouts (which is often the leading cause of overflow and gutter buildup), and
2) There is no effective alternative to having trained eyes on the problem from above.
Not to mention that in order for vacuuming to be effective, gutters have to be cleaned often in order to prevent anything from getting into downspouts and creating clogs. Most gutter are just too high to reach effectively.
For extremely clogged gutters or high and complicated rooflines, it's best to call a professional.
